Why France?

With Quivertree, a family trip to France turns into an action packed adventure!

France is the ideal country for a family adventure full of culture, action and excitement! While most tourists head for Paris and Euro Disney, Quivertree seeks out the “real” France - quaint villages, small towns, incredible nature and lot of action! Like the French themselves who escape the heat of Paris in the summer - Quivertree families head to the mountains, lakes and beaches.

Highlights:

  • The Mountains (Savoy Region):
    • Chamonix/Mont Blanc - the highest mountain in Europe offers incredible summer walking.
    • Annecy: One of the most beautiful towns in France alongside a gorgeous lake.
  • White water rafting, Via Ferata and rope courses with zip lines, tandem paragliding, cycling...these are all exciting possibilities for families.
  • Foodies - visit wine producers and cheese makers!
  • The “unknown” French Riviera:
  • Water sports: From sea kayaking to whitewater rafting to canyoning and Rando Aqua (“water hiking” – swimming/sliding/hiking down Alpine streams and gullies) - incredible family adventures abound.
  • Mercantour National Park - see some of the 40,000 Bronze Age cave drawings - A UNESCO World Heritage Site surrounded by twenty eight mountain villages.
  • The beaches of the Mediterranean, and the world famous cities of Nice and Monaco.
  • Exploring medieval villages on foot or by bike
