It’s time to look ahead to 2024!
Now, as winter approaches, it’s time to dream of next summer and, while it may still seem far away, in the travel world it is just around the corner! Now is the time to start booking summer trips while we still have availability.
Let’s take a look at some of our favorite summer locales!
Europe: Island hopping in Greece? Epic hiking in the Dolomites of Northern Italy? Or extend your Paris trip (Gideon was recently at the Eiffel Tower) with a self drive adventure to Provence, Dordogne or Brittany. Iceland has magnificent hiking, black sand beaches, icebergs, snowmobiles, ATV’s, geysers and wonderful natural pools to bathe in everywhere! And we also love lesser known European destinations like Bosnia, Montenegro, Albania, Madeira and the Azores!
African Safaris: Many travelers have told us that their Quivertree African safari was the best trip of their life!
Japan: Japan is totally unique and magical, one of the most interesting and exotic destinations anywhere! Food, mountains, spa towns, history, culture and an incredible city and nightlife scene will wow you!
Costa Rica: Costa Rica’s volcanoes, beaches, cloud forests and jungles are unforgettable. Nearby Guatemala has colorful local culture, wonderful markets and Tikal National Park, one of the Mayan world’s greatest cities.
Ireland and the United Kingdom: In recent years many of our most popular trips have been long distance walking trips in the UK and Ireland. Cornwall, Dorset and the Cotswolds in England, the Scottish Highlands, Wales and the amazing walking routes in Ireland are all wonderful options. Walk from B&B to B&B (your luggage will be transferred!), stop in quaint villages for lunch or tea and take in the unspoiled coasts, sheer cliffs, farmland and remote landscapes for which the region is famous. Completely tailored to all walking abilities.
South America: Colombia, the Galapagos and Machu Picchu are just some of the wonderful destinations this amazing continent has to offer!

The Galapagos islands are one of the world’s greatest all year round travel destinations – definitely a once in a lifetime (or twice or more!) experience!
The Dolomites region of Italy has become a super popular Quivertree destination. It’s famous for its incredible hiking and other adventures such as Via Ferrata. The perfect summer destination!
African safaris are unforgettable (above), while Iceland abounds with magnificent sights and incredible adventures! Descend into a volcano, snowmobile on a glacier, zodiac in an iceberg lagoon, ride ATV’s on a black sand beach and waterfalls, waterfalls and more waterfalls, each more spectacular than the one before! And in summer you’ll have daylight till midnight!
Japan is a wonderful, exotic destination that will live long in your memory!
Long distance walking in the UK is one of our favorite summer forms of ‘slower travel’. The Pembrokeshire Coast Path in Wales has almost 200 miles of spectacular coastal scenery!
Guatemala (above) is filled with local markets, Mayan ruins (Tikal), and colonial towns, and it combines so well with Costa Rica’s jungles and wildlife treasures.
Greece is a perfect summer destination – a combination of antiquities, Greek mythology, gorgeous islands, great food and much much more!
And what about us you must be asking?!
We’ve been busy traveling as usual! Gideon was in Paris and Japan while Philip was in Madeira (below), the Dolomites and Albania!
